Graphics concerned with contemplating and selling clothes, cosmetics and accessories tend to evoke an era's sense of where its best interests lie. Such products aim toward subtle and gleeful intensities, and many artists specializing in their promotion in the early part of the twentieth century were moved by the possibility of haunting mystery there. Some of those free-lance businessmen produced graphic renditions built for inspiring nothing but awe. As such their compositions featured streamlining not only the product and setting but also the physical features of those modelling the products. Examples of this strategy can be seen in the following. (See also the Pochoir Section)
