Kazumasa Nagai (1929- )
Nagai is both a modernist and a Japanese traditionalist in design, and that is a matter of real interest; but the lasting impact of a Nagai poster is its lithographic finish, the delicious confection of ink on paper. There are eleven Nagai posters in the Museum of Modern Art collection in New York, one of which is the Asian Performing Music Arts/UCLA 1981.
